The Beginning
Mr. J.K.S.L. Perera and Mrs. W.C.C. Thamel established a small-scale coir yarn processing business in Sri Lanka's western coastal belt, laying the foundation for what would become Aurevia Global.

1980
Official Registration
The business was officially registered as WEN COCO FIBER INDUSTRIES, based in Wennappuwa, formalizing nearly four years of operations.
1986
Handloom Rope Expansion
Expanded into the handloom rope industry, exporting to markets such as Pakistan with fully manual production.
1990
A New Direction
Handloom discontinued; coir yarn continued. Machine twine production began with two machines and a small workforce.
1998
Full Twine Focus
Operations became fully focused on twine production, expanding significantly in scale.
1999
ASIRI TWINE & Local Market
ASIRI TWINE INDUSTRIES established in Madampe. Production shifted toward local agricultural crop binding applications.
2005
US Export Operations
Aurevia Exports expanded US export operations from Marawila, strengthening the group's international agricultural twine business.
2010s
Second Generation
Mrs. Perera and J.K.C. Perera expanded group operations across fiber production, trade, and export markets.
Today
Third Generation Leadership
The third generation joined Aurevia Global leadership. The group supports 100+ direct employees and 100+ self-employed workers across eight companies.
